Justin - Younger brother. P E R S O N A L I T Y El can be categorized quickly by calling her a 'tomboy' but surprisingly she is the nice kind. She is happy-go-lucky, charming and bubbly, but only in the company of friends. She can be rather shy to the point of enabling her from having fun with large groups of people. She generally likes to entertain herself (which she's quite good at) or hang out with her best friend Rose Zeller. El likes sports, but mostly the muggle kind like racket ball and tennis. She likes to fly, but thinks quidditch games last too long. She can be rather impacient that way. El is also extremely dependable and responsible. If you need something done amd it is in her power to do so she'll get it done one way or another. This comes from being innovative back on the farm when things would break and need repearing. An early riser, she goes to bed early to ensure she will be bright the next day. She puts her schoolwork before fun, but only because the sense of responsibility is ingrained into her. A P P E A R A N C E Played By:Emma Bunton El is midheight standing at 5 feet 6 inches but dangerously underweight. Her skin is pale and her face is speckled with a large amount of freckles. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and an infectous smile. Her hair falls in light curls that frame her face, but is usually pulled back into a ponytail since she is used to working on the farm. Her fingernails are short because she has the habit of chewing on them. She walks slowly, but has excellent posture. H I S T O R Y Elanor Branstone was born to a british muggle couple just outside of Blackpool. Danielle and Roger Branstone were the proud parents of two girls and three boys. Their family was large because they needed the extra bodies to help out with the farm they owned and lived on. Benjamin was the oldest son, followed by Lucy, Luke, Elanor and Justin. It wasn't just the kids on the farm, though. While it was a family own and run farm Roger hired hands to help during peake seasons. They dealt mostly in vegetables, but dabbled a little bit in livestock which meant cowboys were frequently staying in their guest house. The Branstone family was a closeknit one and they all looked out and helped each other with their chores; which there were a lot of. The Branstone children learned at a young age the meaning of responsibility, but had good examples to go by from their parents. El was the closest with her older sister Lucy and her younger brother Justin. She felt responsible for Justin since he was younger than her and Lucy taught El all about boys. El was definitely the tomboy of the two girls probably because she enjoyed dealing with the cattle and horses the best. She never had the flings with the cowboys that came through like her sister Lucy did, but a part of her was secretly jealous that she didn't have the guts or rather wasn't old enough understand what was really going on. When El got her letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry it came as a great surprise to both herself and her parents. Roger and Danielle thought it was a prank at first, but after further investigation found out that the letter was legit. It took great convincing on Elanor's part to get her parents to agree to let her go. They were reluctant because they needed her help on the farm, but El eventually got her way by telling them that with magical powers farming would be a piece of cake. El arrived at the castle clueless, scared and missing home for the first time in her life. She felt like she was way in over her head and intimidated by the sheer size of the place. She wanted to go home and would continue to want to go home for the rest of her first year at Hogwarts. She was sorted into Hufflepuff and while many were sorted into Hufflepuff because they didn't fit anywhere else, El was there because she was genuinely sweet and loving of every person in that school including the Slytherins who El simply thought didn't know any better. It was during El's first year at Hogwarts that the attacks on the muggleborns began. It was not a very good first impression for El and she wrote home about it. Her parents demanded that she come home at once, but El refused because she believed there was a reason behind it. While El was immensely scared that she could be next, she decided to keep her head low and stick to the shadows. It seemed to work because El never had an encounter with the basilisk snake and was immediately starstruck with Harry Potter for saving the day. El excelled in charms, muggle studies, astronomy and history of magic. She decided that one day she wanted to become a teacher there at Hogwarts in one of those subjects. She didn't really care exactly. She could no longer imagine a life of a farmgirl, but only one that resided within the castle walls. She wasn't the brighest student, but she was a hard worker and did well on her own. El was well aware of what was going on in the Wizarding World with Harry Potter and you-know-who, but she generally watched the happenings on the sideline. She knew that in the end justice would come to those who had been done wrong, but also knew that she could not do anything about any of it. She secretly rooted for Harry, but was too shy to ever tell him herself. To her he represented muggleborn rights, which was something she needed for herself if she was planning on staying in the wizarding world. El did not go back to school her 5th year after Dumbledore died. She knew that the school was no longer safe for muggleborns and did not want to be a part of something she knew was going to be horrible. She very easily could have stayed since her parents were pretty obliviously to what was going on in the wizarding world and El wanted to make good on her promise to her parents anyway. She returned to the farm and used her magic to help them out in what ways she could, though she wasn't 17 so it was not much. She quickly became depressed, and even moody. She never took it out on her family, of course, but she spent more and more time alone with the cattle or in her room. Her parents picked up on her change of mood and asked her about it. After explaining her parents kicked her out of the house and told her not to come back until her education was done. El was confused, but figured her parents meant well. After much begging on her part to Headmaster Snape she was admitted back into Hogwarts after Christmas break and allowed to make up the work she missed. The next year at Hogwarts was one of the hardest in her life, and the only thing that kept her going was her best friend Rose Zeller and the thought that Harry Potter was out there somewhere fighting for people like her. Again El stuck to the shadows and did her best to disappear and stay out of the Carrow's way. She was one of the lucky muggleborns since she was used to being quiet. She was only tortured three times, but it was three times too many for the young girl. While she used to be happy go lucky, her entire demanour had changed. She became quickly depressed and longed to go back home to her family who would not allow it. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place and without Rose there she probably wouldn't have been able to handle it. Still, keeping her mouth shut meant she was able to get through her 4th year alive. When the battle broke out on Hogwarts ground and some of the students hung back to fight, El was one of the ones who fled the scene. She did not have enough confidence in her abilities as a witch to stick around and she certainly did not want to die. El wasn't exactly a coward, but she wasn't exactly the bravest little girl either. She wanted to stay alive and she knew being a muggleborn meant she likely didn't have a chance. She's regretted it ever since and feels a lot of the responsibility for the deaths that happened that day.
