I'm exhausted from the trip and I already miss my little brother, but I'm at Hogwarts. Dinner was interesting; McGonagall doesn't usually give speeches after Christmas hols, but she started talking about how we're going to have some new students in some of our houses from the future and that we're to treat them kindly.
I still don't know if I believe everything about people from the future, but I think it would be absolutely brill to get some more girls in Hufflepuff, Or maybe even a really good Quidditch player like Cedric was. but from what I hear they are mostly Weasleys. Weasleys are usually sorted into Gryffindor, or at least all of the Weasleys I've known have been in Gryffindor.

New Years Eve was a lot of fun. My Mum and Dad actually bought fireworks this year and set them off behind the barn. I thought Dad was going to set the crops on fire! Luckily no crops were harmed in the making of the display.
Things kind of go downhill from there, don't they? 2000 was supposed to be the best year ever. You know, new millenia and everything. How crazy is that? I celebrated a new millenia. How many people actually get to do that? Not many. Then the Prison disappeared which I still think is a very early April Fool's joke, but McGonagall posted that notice so maybe it's for real.
...you don't think those Death Eaters are out there looking for us, do you?
God! I can't wait to go back to Hogwarts. I feel safer there with McGonagall than I do here at home. Just one more week.
